Hi. I have a 1998 SC2 with 133K all available factory options. I bought it used from a mechanic. I (and the previous owner) have kept everything stock besides the K & N air filter I put in. The car is in great shape, gets full power and 29mpg during normal operation. I maintain it very well. It’s a great car besides two persistent problems. The cruise control does not work. The controls for it are mounted on the steering wheel. The LED light for it works. I have even replaced the control module for it behind the gas pedal out for a re-manufactured module. Still no luck. Anybody have any ideas and/or fixes? I have one instrument panel light out. It is the light behind the digital clock/radio tuner. The clock/tuner itself works fine. All the other lights work, including the ones for all the buttons on the stereo, and even the cup-holder lights. I have to turn on the reading light at night to see what time it is on the clock, and it’s annoying. Did the car just not come with a light behind the clock or is mine broken? How do I fix it? Thanks in advance. |
well idk about the cruise control. But the clock light might just be burnt out. You should be able to replace it. Just buy a Haynes Repair manual for your year and series. And it will show you what you need to do. Good luck
