I have a question I own a 2001 saturn sl1 sohc motor but It's hard to find any intakes both short ram and cai any advice would be helpful to find or to custom make, It also has a automatic transmission which I believe it makes a difference when looking for air intakes

well my friend when he had his sl1 he had a cold air intake and it worked out really well i think you can look for intakes on andysautoparts.com

Intakes from 1991-1999 DOHC and 1995-2002 SOHC will fit on your car. A CAI will not work for you because the transmission filter is in the way.

You're not going to see much of a gain, if anything with a SOHC. But it will look pretty and sound nice.

Just look on eBay, there tons on there.

no a just get lucky i was waiting for someone to ask me that thats one thing i dont know where do you get it welded and do you have to take the transmission apart or do they do it and how much will it run me? i have a sohc for now plan on doin a dohc head swap. right now the sohc redlines at 6000 rpm so i thought it wasnt that big of a deal if you could tell me where and how much it is to get the diff pin welded it would be appreciated

I weld them myself. The transmission has to be disassembled to remove the differential.
