clicking box in console

my daughters 93 4 door sedan wouldn't start, after boosting it the lights were dim, then you can turn off the switch, take out the key,and a clicking is coming from the box mounted in the center console at the e-brake handle.turn the switch on and it stops, but everything is dead like the battery is totally dead.Any ideas will be appreciated, thanks

LenaSaturn -

That clicking sound is coming from the control module for your passive restraint seatbelts. On the Insturment Panel Fuse Block (IPFB) inside the car, locate and remove the 20amp fuse (PREST)that controls the seatbelts. Only downside will be that you have to connect and disconnect your shoulder belts by hand.

Possibly other issues at work here, but do that and recharge the battery, to make sure it remains charged properly

,and if you have signs of ever having a leaking battery, replace the positive cable.
