Does anyone know what years of transmissions are compatible on a 94 SL2-Automatic.

1993 and 1994 SL2, SC2 and SW2 transmissions.

Why do you think you need a transmission?Edited by: Low Saturn

A few things make me think I need a new transmission. I have no reverse..except when the car is cold and when it does work, it makes terrible noises and slips and shakes. Also while in drive it tends to have trouble shifting. It will shift but it feels like the gear doesn''t catch. Almost like it''s slipping along with some god awful crunching noises. However..This problem goes away when my check engine light turns ON after about 10 minutes of town driving. The fluid levels are fine and the color of the fluid is fine. Filter changed about 5000 miles ago.

You dont need a new transmission.

You have the classic symptoms of a bad valvebody.

That''s what I thought. I hear they are easy to change however i''ve never done it before. Anyone have any "how to''s" for me? Or perhaps a link to a how to?
