Car shakes in any gear
 

hello everyone. I own a 02 SL2 it has 99482 miles on it 5-sp manual. Recently the car started to shake back and forth no matter what gear im in only when the car warms up. Thinking it was the clutch i replaced it. It wasn't the clutch...any ideas from anyone????? Thank you

Upper torque axis (engine) mount ever changed?

never changed any mount. Does a mount make sense if it only does it when it the engine warms up??

Well, not really, but rubber has a tendancy to be a tad 'softer' when warm ... I'd check both mounts on the passenger side of the car .....

all mounts are fine...can't figure it out it only does it when im driving i've tried taking it out of gear while going down the road putting it in neutral nothing does not shake only while cruzing at a steady speed in any gear...idles fine

Here's a test to try -- take it out of gear while going down the road, then gently press the gas pedal to make the engine approximate the RPMs at that speed to see if your shaking occurs ....

it was the EGR valve
