Air bags suspension

Has anyone ever installed air ride or some type of air suspension on there sl2. I have an 98 sl2 and would like it to sit lower but I haven't found any adjustable coilovers or lowering springs and I don't want to cut the stock ones in fear of messing up. If you have installed these things please help in directing me to brands or sites on where you get them. Tia-Marlonsl2

I’ve heard of folks buying drop springs for an S series, I’m sure they’re still out there for someone willing to look... haven’t heard of any adjustable coilovers but I’m sure people have done it... you might have better luck on sixthsphere.com for finding info on suspension mods though

Hi there, actually there are some nice lowering springs for your model made by H&R
They give a nice drop of 1.4" x 1.3" which will help get a nice stanced look
Unfortunately, there are no custom fit air suspension solutions, but it is possible to make a custom setup if that's what you're looking for.
Air suspension may cost around $2k-$5k depending on the options.

H&RŪ - 1.4" x 1.3" Front and Rear Lowering Coil Springs

H&R & Eibach Springs were pretty much the standard for lowering the S cars back in the day. Definitely go to sixthsphere.com and pay special attention to the signatures at the bottom of the posts to see what people are using. I think there was a whole form category on suspension mods. Please come back and let us know what you decided on and how it worked. Pretty sure you need a camber kit for each side to get the alignment correct.
