Damn thats pretty good, all the years I've been on SATURN forums and all the SATURNs I've owned I have never heard of such improvements in mpg from adding a short or cold air intake to a S-CAR. It must have something to do with living in Inver Grove Heights, I bet if you lived in Little Canada or Highland Park you'd not even see an increase.

budsjlm 06-07-2009 09:28 PM

well i do think that a big part of it is that there was a hole in the original intake tube so im sure that had somthing to do with it.... live in mn at sumpoint?

RjION 06-07-2009 09:49 PM

Never heard of Sumpoint Mn.

touch screen phone posting... not feeling like taking the time to tripple check and only get 200 characters...

derf 06-07-2009 11:29 PM

that makes your phone cooler than mine....
but the posts much more annoying to read....

budsjlm 06-07-2009 11:47 PM

i won't fight ya there i try to keep the crap spelling down but sometimes it just happens

97_SC2Driver 09-03-2010 01:19 PM

i dont know about my gas mileage but i picked up 2 tenths and 1-2 mph at the track with a ram air setup

derf 09-03-2010 10:24 PM

are ya sure it was related ONLY to the ram air?

im sorry it was .17 sec, i just found the slips

run 1 with no ram air

60' 2.437
330' 6.593
1/8 10.025@71.72mph
1000' 12.984
1/4 15.512@89.52mph

run 2 with ram air

60' 2.480
330' 6.543
1/8 9.919@72.82mph
1000' 12.843
1/4 15.345@90.54mph

funny thing about run 2 is i had a worse 60'. if i had the same 60' as run 1, chances are i wouldve ran close to 1 tenth faster on run 2. any time you drop from your 60' is doubled up top. (that's based on the few hundred track passes ive had since ive been racing at the drag strip)
