99 sl2 no start
 

hey all new to the site and wondering if someone can help. my wife's 99 sl2 with 48k just recently started stalling while driving no warning's no lights just stalling as if someone just turned the key off. but it would start right back up until yesterday morning.

i went to go out and tried starting it and nada just cranking so i let it sit for a couple of hours and tried again and it started and idled for about 30 seconds and quit again and could not get it started again.

someone mentioned the cps but im trying to confirm before i start throwing parts at it.

The most likely culprit would be the CPS. If you described more symptoms, we could more accurately pinpoint the problem. Is it getting fuel? Is there a spark? If you suspect the CPS you can test it with an ohmmeter.

didnt check for spark or fuel yet. raining here so gonna have to wait. from what i remember about checking for spark is the old screwdriver in the spark plug wire trick. is there any other method?
