i bought a saturn from the auction. my car was acting weird first it would start up then i would drive it somewhere go in and come out try to start it nothing. so i thought it was the battery or the starter so i replaced the starter and the first time i fired it up i think i heard a spark somewhere but the car started then i smelled gas smell coming from the engine somewhere now it wont even make a clicking noise but the dashboard lights stay on when i turn the key to the "ON" position what could this be?

 

Check and replace positive battery cable ....

 

Also, check the master ignition fuse under the hood (30amp). It may be burned out

 

I found out the problem! When i installed my new starter it was my first time i was missing a little nut on the starter haha works good now

 

Believe it or not, I was going to tell you to check the last thing you fixed to see what you did wrong.

 

he was missing his little nut..........
