97 Saturn SL1 175000 Miles AC Problem

So talk about throwing parts at my Saturn:

1) AC stops blowing cold air, recharge with a couple of cans of R134A=Still blowing hot air
2) Replace Compressor with Junk Yard Compressor, evacuate recharge again=Still blowing hot air
3) Replace Air Filter/Drier= evacuate recharge again=Still blowing hot air
4) Blow out lines with compressor, remove expansion valve, and blow out expansion valve resorvoir= evacuate recharge again=Still blowing hot air

Will get readings and post them later when I'm at home...

Any Ideas????????????:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::ma d::mad::mad:

Yeah -- the pressure readings from the suction and discharge ports of your system should be most enlightening ...

You did all that without even knowing the high and low side readings?

???

Yeah sure did, I know, natural selection comes to mind, lol. Low side extremely high, high side normal, obviously the compressor is shot!!!!!!!

How many pounds of refrigerant does it take to charge the system?
How many pounds of refrigerant do you find in the system when you evacuate?

I say take it out. All of it. It adds weight which brings down your ET.

low side high sounds like blockage
