The "Check Engine Soon" bulb is burnt out on my 96 SL2. How difficult is it to replace these bulbs. Any help will be appreciated. |
Well, it is not exactly ''easy'', but you should be able to handle it. Do be very sure of two things, however: (1) On Saturn models equipped with a Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system, always disable the airbag(s) before working in the vicinity of the steering wheel, instrument panel or SIR system components to avoid the possibility of accidental deployment of the airbag(s), which could cause personal injury. (2) On models equipped with a theft-deterrant radio, make sure you have the correct activation code, or the theft deterrant system turned off, before disconnecting the vehicle battery. |
Well, first thing. Theres no reason to disable the air bag or worry about disconnecting the battery and needing you theft-deterrant info for the radio.
Just pop out the cluster and replace the bulb. Heres instructions from my website: http://www.differentracing.com/tech_...5-99cluster.ht ml |
