I bought a very clean 96 sl2 with a broke motor. Installed a very good used motor only to find out it also has a trans porb. Cold it shifts hard into reverse then slips little in 2 and 3 and almost always upshifts from lockup to 3 without warning but only whin cold. when it warms up it rarely gives any trouble.I think I have seen a post like this in the past and hate to be redundant but sure would appreciate some help, and maybe some advice on where to get the right part to repair.......tksTroy

Sine the shaft nut is the easiest and cheapest to do. I''d do try first.
