Default This connector is where the brake lights split to the taillights.

My brake pedal was pushed in and the passenger side lights were at full illumination - but the drivers side is dim

I would remove the interior trunk trim panels and look. Location T in this drawing is listed as the rear ground stud.

The ground splice on my car had a plastic cover that I removed. I found each ground wire had its each own connector. I disconnected and cleaned the 1/4” spades.
