93 SL2 (auto) stalls after warmed up - put into gear.
I started pulling the brake booster from my green parts car - started pulling from my daily driver too - got the booster out of the parts car tonight - man it's a booger.. called it a night after about 2 hours.. I'll have to get back to it Thursday night - Wednesday nights are church nights. - the picture is from summer time, but they are currently - parked like that.. my daily is on front jack stands, and the parts car is a bit more taken apart due to the booster being removed.
Thanks! Yeah, I wish removing it was as easy as that diagram... The diagram doesn't illustrate the steering column bracket that prevents easy access with a socket wrench.. It took me much longer than I would like to admint to remove the booster from my parts car last night.. I still have to complete the removal from my daily driver..

how involved is it to drop the steering column?
I believe it is just two nuts or two bolts through a bracket that bolts to the top side.
Let me go find a picture
Video below is for removing the cluster, but includes dropping the column.
Start from
1:20 removing plastic below steering column
2:50 removing two bolts that hold steering column up. I suggest you back them out evenly as the weight of the steering column will shift and make the other side bind.
3:45 steering column down and resting on seat.
Pay attention to the other things that are connected to the plastic underneath the column so as not to damage them
Not sure how far down it goes since you have already removed the seat. Only one way to find out.

Parts car brake booster check bad - Not as bad as original - upon start up my idle is good - only bumps up to 2k - so yay - but when I push down on the brake pedal the rpms start to struggle and if I hold it down longer I hear the diaphragm hissing. and then the motor dies as the IAC tries to adjust to the air loss.
