2002 SC2 wheel fitment

Hello everyone. Looking to change out my stock 6" x 15" wheels to 7" x 16" Rota Slipstreams with 205/50R16 tires. I can't find any 6.5" wheels I like in 16" witch would be my preference. My understanding is that the 16 x 7 Rota's are around 13-14 lbs ea. Lightest tires I have found in 205/50R16 are 18lbs. About the same as my current 195/60R15's. Anyone have any experience with this setup as to fitment or other options. Thanks.

TireRack allows me to configure a 205/50R16 tire on a 16" x 6.5 rim with a +48 mm offset
Also allows me to configure a 205/50R16 tire on a 16x7 with a max offset of +43 mm.offset

Even the slicks they offer are 205/50R16.
So 16x7 w205/50R16 SEEMS as though it would be ok as long as the difference in offset does not is not an issue. THe wheels above will move the wheel in towards the suspension. If you do your homework regarding the offset, seems like you are on the right track. If you plan to lower the car, it becomes a totally different story........

Please stop back and let us know the final setup, how it worked, and if you like the handling.
Include some pix, of course.
