hi,

I have a 1999 saturn sl2 with the 1.9 dohc engine that
just threw a rod out the side and need to know what years of dohc engine will work with this car?

Will a 1998 engine work and if not what are the differences?

A 1998 will work, but you'll need the exhaust manifold and downpipe. 1998's had a 5 bolt exhaust manifold, 1999's have a nine bolt.Edited by: sw2cam
