Default 1998 saturn sl2

I was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a SL2 DOHC engine cheap with low km. The one i have now the piston rings are gone. It has around 280,000k. im thinking about getting it rebuilt. whitch way would be better or cheaper? the reason why its dieing so early cause ive seen these things hit up to 400,000k. My dad used to have it he gave it to me and he drove the crap out of it.

and if your going to have it rebuilt have it done by a SATURN TECH and not BillsBait&AutoRepair.

The most expensive option would be to have it rebuilt. The next question is whether you will replace the engine or have some one else do it. Big difference in cost.
The odds are you can find a decent junkyard engine and it's been my experiance with just normal care they run for a real long time.
The car is about 12 years old. And worth about $1500.00 or so if your lucky. If you gotta spend something in that area, it's probably not worth it. ]
