Cleaned throttle body, IAC and MAP sensor. Engine started, backed out of driveway, left car running while moved other car, pulled SL1 back in driveway and shut it off. Half hour later car cranks but would not fire.

 

I'd test some things.

 

Any codes (obdii)? Turn key to on, then connect scanner.

What did you use to clean the items you mentioned?

 

Throttle Body Cleaner, MAF sensor cleaner. P0037, P0107. Only have a code reader. No vacuum leaks, connectors clean & tight, engine temp normal, fuel pump runs, has spark.

 

you state fuel & fire but no bang...really??? suggest starting fluid whist someone else cranks her. She no bang you still got problems!

 

The O2 code is not causing a no start. Unplug the map and try starting. Still no joy. Do what he says and try using carb cleaner or ether/propane and see if it hits.
We need to start t4esting things. Start with these.

 

Welcome GR, nice to see another "puzzle solver" and I like propane as well, but do not recommend it to novices.

 

Sorry been a few, had other things going on. Would run on spray till spray used up, won’t take throttle Sat overnight, started right up, checked for vac leaks, ran in driveway at varying rpm for about 10 min., dropped from 2,500 rpm to 750 rpm idled for about 30 sec. engine stalled, wouldn’t restart. Had spark, fuel at test port. p0037 p0107 codes, tested TPS, IAC, ECT, MAP.

 

How strong the spark. How much pressure at port? Did you try the spray again?

 

That thing where a half hour later won’t start sounds like a crank sensor. I’ve replaced them on a 96 98 and 99 SL1.
