2000 Saturn SL1, automatic w/ 115xxx miles, cold air intake
off 2 tanks I averaged 32.92MPG (almost all highway) |
97 SL2 5 speed, 142k...35-36mpg and 90% of my driving is highway at 70mph.
I have a K&N air filter but only because it was about the cost of 2 regular filters. Didn't see much of a difference. That's really my only "mod" unless you count Mobil 1 ATF in the manual tranny. |
</>00 SL2 Auto...100K...34 MPG almost exclusively city/town driving. Was thinking hard about replacing it once it hit 100K, but had to ask, why? Edited by: rahfa91 |

on original tires, 100,00 on current tires so far. One rear wheel bearing, two intake manifold gaskets for P0507 codes and one cleaning of egr for P1440 code and many throttle body cleanings, do everything myself. Oil changes every 5500 (conventional) to 11000 miles (synthetic). |
1998 SL2 1.9DOHC with Manual Tranny. I just recently went on a 600 mile trip and averaged 35.9 highway. I normally average around 31 highway and city.
