Coolant fast leak, to ground..
Hello all. Could use some advice again from you guys, about my 2008 Saturn Outlook XR,. It has just over 125k and been having a host of problems lately. Dreaded sunroof leak shorted fuse box last week. It was pretty corroded, caused it to not turn off when taking the key out, then no crank no click no start. Got that sorted out, but as soon as it started we started noticing coolant in the driveway. Small amount at first, then worse and worse. Now I can fill it and its not quite a stream but very quick drops coming from what looks to be behind the crank pulley. I know the water pump is just above that but I can't see a leak above the crank pulley. I pressure tested the system and it just pored out. Suppose I should mention I'm in a wheelchair only because I can only see from the bottom up just so far, from under the wheelwell and just so far down from engine bay. Looks dry up top. Hoses seem to be ok. Can't check a weep hole on water pump cause its to difficult to get to for me. Could this be thermostat? Crossover gasket? I did also try the dye and black light but didn't see anything really wet above the crank . some coolant was getting flung around by the belt but didn't see anything putting out the volume by the water pump that was hitting the ground ugh.. Any help will be appreciated! Ill say I've checked oil, and no mixing. Oil looks good with no milk or froth and smells as it should. No unusual smoke either. Only other thing is my wife went to turn it around tonight and started fine, put it in reverse and it began to sputter, idling rough for a few seconds, she put it in park again and it stopped, reversed again and it was fine. Now I don't know if these are related or if that was something left over from the previous problem with the fuse box, or if this is a totally new and separate issue.. I'm diein here lol . thanks for taking the time to read all this if you did! Hope to hear from you..
