Battery

i have a 2007 Saturn outlook Xr and I replaced the old battery with a new interstate power plus. If I leave the car set for 4 days the car will not start. Nothing else was done to the SUV the battery was load tested and all was good. If I jump the car it starts fast no delay. I checked the wiring in the floor and nothing was disturbed, anyone offer any assistance, it would be appreciated. Thank you, Jrmongo

If you are saying that 4 days is long enough sitting to have the vehicle not start and the charging system checks out, it sounds like there is now a parasitic drain on the battery.

Remove the bulbs from your glove box light and any other light that is in a compartment that can be closed. The compartment usually has a spring loaded switch that controls the on off state of the light. If the switch fails, the light can be on continuously, draining the battery.

Another common situations is that you lose a diode in the output stage of the alternator, and current passes through it to ground, slowly draining the battery with time. But this should show on a load test unless it is a small enough current leak that the testing software doesn't flag it.

Another possibility is that there is an electronic module that should be going to sleep but is not

Go for the bulbs first
