Well, not sure about the OEM version, but the after-market brands run around the $85.00 mark. I'd still replace both my main battery cables, and make sure the connections were clean and tight -- otherwise you might find yourself back in the same kettle of soup.....

Cleaned up the battery contacts and the connections for the cables yesterday. Started and ran fine. But now the issue has gotten worse. Unable to shift out of park and the car won't stay running. Power locks are also not working. Looks like the BCM has gone out for good. Also noticed with the car off and the key out that a motor in a couple of the doors started to run or hum. So time for repair.

It was time to repair when the lights flashing on the dash told you to, not after complete failer. Now you get to add the cost of a tow truck to your ouput of cash. Good luck finding an aftermarket BCM, and if you do price a new one from SATURN before you buy it. Then do not have JoesCrabShack&AutoRepair do any of the work.

TAKE IT TO YOUR NEAREST SATURN DEALER

Ya, exactly! Should have gotten it fixed. I disconnected the battery overnight and was able to get it running and in gear so I could at least get it home. Hopefully I can do the same thing once I get the details figured out of getting it repaired. So no tow truck yet. . .
