L300 03 with sunroof has no internal lights?
 

Hi guys,

I bought a 2004 L300 and I never seen it before. It has a lot miles on it and a few things to fix. But this one left me really curious it doesn't have internal lights! At night it's pitch black. Is this normal or the guy who sold me did something with it?
This is my first post so I don't know how to send pics yet sorry about that.

My car has an interior light in the center of the headliner, it has a three position switch. Off , on and on with the doors open. There are interior lights on the lower door panels they come on when you open the doors. There are also map lights on the bottom of the rear view mirror, they have a switch for each side next to the lights.

Also check to see if the plunger switch in the door jam isn't stuck.

Hey 02 LW300 thanks for the info. Is you internal light like this one http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/LYgAAO...8D/s-l1600.jpg ?? I think I found the place were it should be. Does you rear view mirror have a compass in the corner? i'm searching for these parts on ebay but since I don't know the original one i'm afraid to buy the wrong one.

Hey Dave4422 i did check it, it does warn me that the door is open but the actual part of the light is missing hehehe

Yes, that is the light in my car and no my mirror does not have the compass.

Sounds like you got ripped off! Should have lightened the deal! Previous owner should have illuminated you to the problems with the car. Watt kind of dim bulb was he anyway?

Yeah i did. But i got it cheap so maybe that was why it was cheap hehehe. I bought a dome light from ebay and i'm trying to install it today.
It worked for a while but now even though the fuse and the bulb are ok it just won't light up...I didn't have a 44mm bulb so i took the one from the trunk, did i screw something in the trunk and now it's not working?

I've noticed that my fuse for the sun roof was busted too. i changed it and the second i turned the key i heard it break again. That means my sunroof motor is shorted?
The DCM 2 fuse in the front was busted too :( but i was out of 10 amp fuses. Is that bad?

DCM or BCM?

BCM sorry!!! A 10 Amp fuse for BCM 2!!
