This was a fairly common problem 15 years ago when cars had fuel filters and the E10 fuel came out. The Ethanol cleaned out the tanks an plugged the fuel filters. I bet your car has the original filter back by the right rear tire. Many cars switched to a non return fuel system back in the late 90s. Ford changed the F series trucks in 2009. Now the cars only pump the fuel through the in tank filter one time and the filter lasts as long as the pump in theory.

Andy knows a hell of a lot more about these cars than I do and he works as a mechanic. My only job as a mechanic was back in 1975 when I was a kid in vo-tech school. My instructor gave me a 6 week leave of absence so I could go and work at the International Harvester dealership and help their mechanics get caught up on all of the work they had. After being there for 2 weeks, the owner gave me a 50 cent per hour raise because he liked my work and my work ethic!

Default Hard acceleration = no acceleration

Ok, I still have to drive it to make sure it is something happening in all gears not just the one, sorry I had another car with issues to handle for my lady today. So ill get on getting that info and if it doesn't matter and happens with all gears ill try the filter part first get be back with the results. I appreciate everyone's help and ideas.
