I have a 2000 v6 with oil in the coolant. 87,000 miles. Could be a cracked head but Im checking the oil cooler first. If it is leaking and I dont want to pay 400 to replace it can I plug up the block where the lines come out? Would the oil still circulate? What size threads are in there? thanks

thanks for the help. in that case i can bypass the cooler, connect the lines together with a hose. would fuel injector hose stand up to the pressure?

........ Why spend all the time, trouble, and money to fix it wrong? If your going to do it ... do it right.

Why do you need to replace the entire oil-cooler and not just reseal-it.

Your nearset SATURN dealer has the parts you need.Edited by: sw2cam
