The A/C on my 2003 L300 cannot keep up when the ambient temp gets above 85 or so. When I''m at idle, there is absolutely no cool air coming through. At higher RPMs, it''s not as bad. I took a PSI reading and it indicated I had plenty of charge, around 45 PSI. What else should I look for?

Quick question are you trying to continually cool "outside air", or are you set up for max cooling and recycling the interior air?

I have tried both, but have not experienced adifference.

OK

1.What are the suction and discharge pressures when the engine is at idle?

2. What are the suction and discharge pressures when the engine is running at 1500 RPM??

I''m not sure what those measurements mean. Is suction and discharge pressurewhat I measured to determine whether to add refridgerant or is that another measurement altogether?

Sorry, I''m a completely mechanically deficient. I really appreciate your help! Thanks!

The readings will tell many things, such as status of refrigerant charge, efficiency of compressor, and overall condition of the system among others.

You mentioned taking areading in your first message, so I assumed you (1) had the equipment to properly take the readings, (2) knew how toSAFELY obtain those readings but if you are "completely mechanically deficient" as mentioned in your latest message, it would be better to take your vehicle to a service shop or dealer.

No offense, but walking around with a lighter wallet beats the hell out of living with less than a full complement of fingers, hands, arms, etc...

Amen brother. Thanks again for your generosity.

Do this

1-Keep your hands off of it
2-Take the car to someone that knows
