I just bought a 2001 SL2 and the tranny slams through the gears. It hits super hard in every gear when it shifts. All gears are there, just super hard shifts. Also when you put it into reverse, it slams into reverse. The tranny does not slip at all, and the fluid looks fine, and doesnt smell burnt or anything.....any idea what the problem is?

VALVE BODY or the output shaft nut. I''''ll say valve body.Edited by: sw2cam

I fixed it today. The problem was one of the relays in the valve body....it was actually a pretty easy fix. And I am not a mechanic....Yah baby! lol
