Hi there, Alison --
Sounds like you are at one of those "fly-by-night" emissions shoppe in California. They can't ever get things right .... |
Stop in the new member area and give yourself a proper introduction. Hey and post a few pictures in that at the same time. Then take a minute and open the USER CP top left of the page and go to "signature" and add your first name location, and car info.
Sometimes the car will not talk to the computor when it gets connected. Is that the case or are they saying there is not an OBD II connector in the car? We need to know that before we can go on. Oh and for the record, it is ILLEGAL to sell a car in California if there is no way to plug the car in to service or emission computor |

Thank's for answering...I am in Ontario...went to an accredited emissions place...will wait to talk to mechanic..hope it is something as simple as a fuse...wait and see..

If you car's computer is not communicating with the shops computer then you need to do whats called a "DRIVE CYCLE". If you were to look that up on your personal computer on the internet you'll find instuctions on how to go about doing a "DRIVE CYCLE". Oh and I'd guess it's illegal to sell a car any place in the US and I'd suspect Canada without ALL of it's emissions intact. That includes the OBD or OBDII port being in place.
