Need front suspension torque specs 2001 L200
Hi all. Been a long time since I was on the forum. Had to re-register.
Replacing the front struts on our 2001 L200. I can't find the torque specs anywhere. Library is closed due to Covid-19 so I can't reference the manuals there. Anybody out there have access to correct manual for this vehicle and can provide me with the correct torque specs for the following? -Upper strut mount nut (under rubber cap in attached picture) -Lower strut to knuckle bolts -Sway bar link to strut I'm installing Monroe Quick Struts so strut disassembly not needed. Thanks much in advance! - Tsport https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sat...87bd255459.jpg Upper strut nut under black cap |
Top nut is 65 ft lb.
Lower strut bolts are 140 ft lbs. Not sure about the links, probably around 35 ft. lbs. Dont believe it is critical, . |

Last night before I saw your reply someone else sent me a copy of specs from AllData Repair specific to 2001 Saturn L200. It shows top nut 40 ft lbs, strut to knuckle initial torque of 37 ft lbs and then final torque of 66 ft lbs + additional 45 to 60 degrees. Stabilizer links = 48 ft lbs. Thinking I might need to check a 3rd source to be sure now. Thanks again for the input, much appreciated! -Tsport |
Disregard my info, I was getting it from strut installation instructions.
However, I was looking at the wrong instruction sheet. Sorry for the bad info. |
OK, here is the correct specs according to my FSM;
Top nut--40 ft-lbs Strut to knuckle bolts--73 ft-lbs + 30 to 45 degrees Stabilizer link nut--48 ft-lb |
