Default LW300 AC just died...

Hi _ I have a 2002 Saturn LW300 w/ 59000 miles . Bought it about 8 months ago. AC ran perfectly until tonight. Drove 30 miles from office to a restaurant near my home. 1 hour later, I started car and no cold air whatsoever. Could it be something minor or is it definitely the compressor?

First thing to do is to check the A/C fuses. Then check to see if the compressor runs. If the compressor runs, do the "loan-a-tool" thing at AutoZone (or wherever) and get pressure readings on the high and low A/C lines. Post the pressure numbers here, and we can suggest/recommend further ....

I checked the 10 amp fuse and it looks ok. Can't even pull the larger fuse/relay out of the socket - not sure if that would tell me anytyhing? Dont hear compressor running, but dark and w/ no working flashlight, I'll need to look in the am. Assuming compressor is lower left (passanger) side?
