Interior lighting not working

So my interior lights on my '03 Saturn L200 are not working. These are the dome lights, reading lights on the rear view mirror, and trunk light. They have been out for awhile. One thing I have noticed is that they will come on for a second before going off when I open the drivers door. But they will not do it again when I keep opening and closing the door.
Items I have checked out so far:
-Driver side door switch: no issues
-Fuses (engine compartment, driver and passenger side): no issues
-Note: my dash-lights,dimmer, pwr windows, locks, radio, lighter (front/back) all work.

I thought for sure it was a short on the drivers side door switch but I have power to the switch. I even swapped switches between the drivers and passenger. The only other item I have been thinking about it is the BCM.

I need of some further ideas/suggestions
Thanks!

Locate the left I/P fuse box. Replace the --> RR COMP DIODE <-- packet. It is most likely an OEM product. That should fix your problem ...

I replaced the "RR COMP DIODE" with a new one still having the same issues. I even swapped it with the AC diode which is good, no luck.

Check the connector on your BCM for corrosion. Some electrical contact cleaner and unplugging and plugging the wire connector to help "sweep" the contacts clean may help. If not that, then I'm thinking you may have a pinched wire in the door harness.
