Horn too quiet??
I just had a state inspection on my 2002 LW300 (V6) and failed because my horn was too quiet. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the horn volume or will it need to be replaced. If so, where is the horn located and how difficult is the adjustment/replacement?
Thanks, Chris |
I didn't know you could fail a state inspection for a "too quiet" horn. Learn something new everyday ....

goto your local autp parts stor and pick up some airhorn that come with an electric compressor..youll never have that prob again
|
have someone hold down the horn button while you trace the sound under the hood. Usually mounted near the front grill/bumper and easy to change. Yours may be defective or just full of leaves or something.....

Thanks, I replaced the horn this afternoon. Much easier than I thought.

Be sure to have 'a honking good time' when you go back through the inspection line ...

You all sound rather horny.
