Default Cored out catalytic converter

2001 saturn l200 blowing massive amounts of oil smoke. What can I do to help with that? Is it related in any way to coring out clogged catalytic converter? Don't have the money to dump into this car anymore, but want to keep it running as long as possible.

The catalytic converter plugged due to your oil burning engine. Now you see the oil smoke, the answer is to correct the oil burning engine.

I don't have any indication they are connected, the catalytic converter plugged quite some time before car ever started smoking. Don't even know what caused that, didnt have money for new cat. So boring it was the only option, wondering if that would cause additional exhaust issues or if it's a separate issue. The car burns up oil like crazy and what's the 1st best place to start with that ?

The indication that they are connected is Andy's diagnosis.
He is a pro and an L car specialist.

You just cored the cat; now you see what's really going on.

Let it go
