</>I have a 2001 L200. The heater core is leaking;passenger side floorboard is wet with antifreeze.

I know I need to look at theheater core (or O rings), but until I can get to it, will it help to turn the dash temp control to fully cold? I'm wondering if that bypasses antifreeze around the heater core.

All help appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

You will need to bypass the core manually. Look on the back of the engine and youll see two hoses going from the engine and connect at the firewall. Disconnect the two hoses from the engine and using a new piece of hose, connect the inlet from the engine to the outlet.

This will bypass your heater core until you can replace it. Luckily replacement looks to be fairly simple. If you need instructions, let me know.
