gear shift light not working

I am new so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area...

I have a 2001 Saturn L200 4 door Sedan.
I had the shifter linkage replaced yesterday & works now, but got home and realized now that the gear shift lights no longer light up.
Is there a fuse for this or easy fix?
I didn't want to lose my car another day to take it back even though it worked when I left it at the repair shop.

I don't know how to add a signature here like it requests.
Thank you for any assistance

Tina

no experience with L cars but I am willing to bet either a connector disconnected during the repair work didn't get reconnected or the bulb got trashed while they were in there.

I'd take it back right away so that they don't try to charge you anew for something that worked before you brought it in. Likely a 5 minute fix. Make sure they're not charging you another diag and repair fee before you let them touch it.

I don't remember ..... is the shift light on the dash or on the console? Guessing on the console near the shifter. If thats the case may very well be they did not plug it back in or the element in the bulb broke when it got moved around. Easy to fix if you want to take the time.

i assumed T meant the light by the shifter

I also, on principle, told her to take it back since I hate when people get paid to do X and f up Y. I know it's not on purpose...
but she shouldn't have to get directions from us to fix something that wasn't broken.

I agree derf, but it may take less time and effort to fix it yourself.

Its the gear shifter lights on the shifter, they just light up the P, R, D etc.
I mean I know where the gears are but yeah it is the principle, I paid 400 to have the linkage fixed and the lights should work. He told me it would take 30 minutes. I mostly thought I could just replace a fuse or something quickly and not have to drive it all the way back to the repair shop and wait for it. I'm taking it today if it stops snowing :)
Thanks again for your replies
