Hi...I'm new to the forum and tried doing a search and didn't find anything. I'm asking this for a friend and don't know anything about saturns. How much would it cost to have a new fuel pump installed in a 2002 L100 w/ 86,000 miles. How hard would it be to change it myself? Is it one that can be accessed under the rear seat or would the whole tank need to be dropped to change it? Thanks to anyone that helps me out. My friend doesn't have a whole lot of money right now so I wanna try to do it for her if it cost too much.

I just had it replaced and it costs 350.00 for the part and I had to get it directly from Saturn because Kragen and Auto only had compatibles that did not work. No you cannot get to it from the back seat you have to remove the whole tank. Then make sure the valves are not leaking because then the engine light will come on.

IT IS QUITE DIFFICULT. TAKES ABOUT 2 HOURS.
