Cruise Control Not working
I just picked up A 2000 LW1 and everything works but the cruise control. The switch on the steering wheel lights up but when I hit set it doesn't. Anybody got any ideas where to start??? I also had to manufacture my own set of fuel tank straps as every local auto parts place told me those parts are unavailable. TG I found some Stainless steel strapping Has anyone else run into this yet.

Fuel tank straps are not an aftermarket part. Your local Chevy dealer servicing Saturn's would be the place to go. How do you find out what Chevy dealer is the one? Get on the phone and call.
CC..........maybe buy yourself a Chilton's and a test light. Please stop in the new member area at the top and give yourself an intro. Once done you could open the USER CP and add your first name, location, and car info to your signature. |
First thing to check on the CC is the fuses. At least that's where I'd start.

Might check the brake light switch on the pedal if it is out of adjustment it will tell the cc that you are on the brake

CC and Fuel Straps
Thanks for the tips on where to start with the CC. RE: To rjION: as to the Fuel tank strap I called the local dealer and was informed they are unavailable So I will be making my own.

Where to start..........at the beginning and that's the fuse. Then relays, then brake light switch. Chilton's will have a schematic look it over closely.
|
For the heck of it............I called the dealer this morning. Was told it could be ordered.
|
-- just shows to go that some dealerships are more "accommodating" than others. Like you SW2cam - my dealer says they can be ordered
