a.c. not cold enough
2002 L100 4cyl auto. i have had 2 shops work on a.c. new compressor, dryer,ex.valve, and condensor. both times the ac gauge readings are correct.,but the ac will only get down to 60 degrees out of the vents. nothing we can do will get it lower. is there some kind of temperatue module or does the b.c.m. control temp. thanks for any help. we are desperate. thanks again
Just out of curiosity, where are you located, and how hot is it there?
located in waco, tx temp today is 105 but back in may when it was 85 the car did the same thing. nothing has changed.
Make bloody well sure the cabin air filter is replaced if dirty. Open hood passenger side in the cowl at the base of the windshield
will check it. thanks

If you don't mind me asking, what are the gauges reading (numbers, please). Also, are the readings steady, or do they fluctuate (flutter). Finally, is the A/C unit staying on all the time, or is the compressor cycling on and off quite a bit?
i don't remember for sure, but i think the low side was 34 or 35.just took the side cover off of evaporator and blew it out good. no change. i still think maybe a bad expansion valve but it is so hard to keep from leaking and its a pain to get to when replaced that i am hesitant.
also, ac stays on, does not cycle on-off.
Believe it or not, but it sounds like you have either air or moisture in your lines (or possibly both). I'd go back to your buddy, and have him open, purge and re-dry the system, followed by pulling a vacuum, then refilling with fresh refrigerant ...

Well Mr.dkb926 what did you come up with?
