Default 2002 L300 DTC's

Hello,

A friend is looking at a 2002 Saturn L300 with 116K miles on it.
No Idea of what maintenace has been done.
Has the following DTC's;
U1000
U1001
U1016
U1024
U1096
It does start and run.
What are some likely causes for these codes ?

Without looking in my fsm I would guess BCM issues. U codes are communication issues,

Thats my guess too. Hoping for a less costly scenario.
Could it possibly be as simple as poor power distribution, i.e. poor ground ??

To be perfectly honest I will only buy an L300 if I find a nice one with a bad engine or transmission. I will only do this because I have both a good engine and a good transmission for one. Then I would sell the car. I enjoy the L200 version of this car because they are easy to fix and nice to drive.
