Default Driver's side window won't go down

Driver's side window will only work when I open the door and push the switch...something is pinched somewhere - any ideas where to start looking?

It is very common for wires to break in the umbilical cord connecting the door to the body. It is a pain to access on the L series car though. The inner door panel needs to come off and unplug all the connectors. Then you can pull the wiring into the cabin above the fuse panel and make repairs. Sorry I don't have better news.
This is a problem across all car lines and manufacturers. I work on a fleet of mostly Ford pickups and I am in there all the time repairing those wires.
