I let my L200/5 sit for a year and a half after purchasing my latest LW300. I moved back into the L200/5 after my grandson got a full time job and was uncomfortable with the stick shift car. When I started using my sedan again I noticed that three of the four mirror functions had quit working. Over the last few months those functions have come back one at a time. I did loose the hvac box doors. I have a small visitor residing in the car. I saw her when I opened the driver’s door and it scurried back into the front fender. The hvac box is stuck on dash vents and the car smells mousey. I have vacuumed the mouse nest below the spare tire. I will remove the dash and take the hvac box apart after I retire in August. I need to replace the compressor to fix the a/c, the hose leaks where it connects to the compressor. The seal is part of the compressor. I really enjoy this car.

My A/C is also not working. I was going to replace the compressor and even had one purchased and delivered to me. However the shop I took the car to were not comfortable doing the work and told me in an old car there can be issues with the lines so they could not guarantee the system will start functioning after the install. I returned the compressor and did not bother after that; maybe one day I will decide to get this done again :-)

As for my mirrors, I installed a brand new switch at the door and it did not change anything - power windows still not working. Will take the car to a shop in August, after my vacation.
