01 LW200 AC suction discharge side by side?

the ac compressor has suction discharge side by side like a Saturn Vue compressor. For what reason I have no idea. Problem is I need a suction and discharge line assembly and cant find.
Either the assembly line temporarily changed compressors due to supply issues or someone installed before i bought as second owner. Neither makes complete sense as LW200 are two separated suction and discharge and Vue is side by side. I have photo of discharge and suction manifold that i uploaded but do not see displayed in this forum query.
GM is telling me the only compressor installed was separated discharge and suction. This seems odd because the existing suction and discharge mainifold compressor connection looks to be a factory produced product and not something produced custom.

Are these what you are looking for?

I found them at RockAuto.com.

Nope.

I am begining to think my only option is to change the compressor to OEM LW200 model and replace the suction and discharge line back to OEM. Hey i have had the station wagon since 2005 and have not replaced the compressor. I think I have gotten my money's worth out of the compressor even though its still running.
Only other option would be to get a custom made line set which would probably be cost prohibitive and limited to find a shop to produce.

Well the Vue didn't come out until the 03 model year, so.....

What is the one that's in your vehicle normally used for? Which other GM vehicle?

I might be inclined to refer to that as opposing connections as opposed to side by side. Just saying.

What model compressor does the label on the compressor say? Does it have a part number?

I see your point as to how to rule out the possibility of the compressor being from a Saturn Vue being substituted during assembly. So that would reinforce the idea that it was installed after the original purchase and somehow a mechanic fitted another discharge and suction assembly onto the vehicle.
Considering all that has been discussed, it leans more towards buying another OEM compressor. I have 245000 miles on the vehicle and still running great.
Thank you for your time.

It certainly looks like a VUE scroll type compressor. I have been searching all GM models for hoses that look like that to no avail.

Maybe Opel UK version?

Does the pipe on the belt end come off the end or out the bottom?

MrOpinion Aug 2, 2024 09:47 PM

Left suction side comes out of the left side of the block and right discharge side straight out of the right side of the block. Meaning some mechanic was very innovative in obtaining an alternative manifold or he had a shop make it locally. I have seen that certain rotary compressor models were problematic versus the scroll compressor technology during this time period. Whether this was part of the thinking process for installing this compressor I don't know but it is very odd.
