I recently inherited my daughters 2007 Saturn Ion. I put the rear seats down by pulling the levers in the trunks so that I could take dog to vet. When I put the seats back they dont click in and stay locked. I can pull them right back down without having to pull the levers in the trunk. They are just loose. I dont think this is correct. Am I doing somethinf wrong as to why they dont lock back in? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

Try pushing the levers in the trunk back and forth several times. If they're not used regularly, they can lose their tension. At least that's my suspicion. I have no knowledge of Ions at all.

 

Thanks for your suggestion. I figured it out it was as simple as me putting the seats back up with more force they clicked and locked in now. I guess i was being too gentle. Lol.
