I wanna upgrade!! Your takes on cold air intake.
I wanna buy something for ****s and giggles to make my 2.2 manual Ion3 sedan a little faster, is a cold air intake worth buying? Or should I be looking for something better?

For the ~5whp youll gain from just an intake, I wouldn’t go out and spend $300 on one, but a 3” intake does help... a 3” pipe from AutoZone(with a hole for your IAT sensor), a 3” 45 degree elbow(can be forced into the airbox lid), and a 3” to 2.75” 90 degree elbow (the TB is 2.75”) is all you need... I spent like $35 on all my parts and combined with a removal of the intake muffler(below the airbox), it makes a noticeable, but not huge, difference in power... the sound however is immediately noticeable
EDIT: I noticed you have an 05-up 2.2... my advice isn’t 100% correct, you’ll need to find a MAF adaptor that works without throwing a CEL... can’t remember if the MAF is in the airbox lid or in the intake tube, but if it’s in the lid making the short ram is easy and shouldn’t throw a CEL, but if the sensor is in the intake tube it’ll be harder to get right...

The test.
We strapped a 20dollar find on a g5 2.2 manual ripped the stock off rigged on the tube and filter by fabbing a hole and screwing the Mass air flow sensor onto this rig lol had a issue with the sensor yet fixed her up with good duct-tape 👌👌 The entire rig for cold air is only $40 50 here so i figure im mostlikely just gonna buy the proper fit now and throw it on the saturn
