2006 ion 2 kinda hard to get in gear

So today when i was driving i noticed that my 06 ion 2 (manual 5 speed) was getting difficult to go into first gear. im thinking it might be low on trans fluid but can not for the life of me figure out how to check the fluid level. also would anyone know anything else i should look at for this shifting issue?

How does it shift into reverse? Does it grind or go in smoothly? Where does the clutch engage? Is it close to the floor or in the middle? It may still have some air in the system.

Check the fluid in that new clutch master. IT may be dry.

Chances are its not bled correctly then. Otherwise it's the tob

id say it goes into reverse smoothly. its mostly just a pain to get into first.

how would i go about doing that? this is the first hydraulic clutch i have ever dealt with.

Typically, the reservoir for a clutch master is in the vicinity of the brake master cylinder. Both take brake fluid. Look and see if you can find them. Should be side by side, but this IS a Saturn, so I'm not positive. I'm sure DD or Andy can probably tell you. And if all else fails, check youtube.

I thought the Ions had a shared reservoir which exploded when stuff froze in place (a la Mandolin of days gone by)
