Hi,
I just purchased a 2004 Ion with 104K mi. It's in excellent condition, but I'd like to know if the engine has a timing belt which needs replacement. I could find nothing in the scheduled maintenance of the user's manual with regard to timing belt service.

Does the 2.2L Ion engine have a timing belt or chain?

If it uses a timing belt what is the recommended replacement mileage?
