hey all, my wife has a 2005 Ion 1 that has water coming in and collecting in the driver side floor board, the car does not have a sunroof so that eliminates the sunroof drains. we have also noticed it happens when It rains as well as having the A/C on. im beyond annoyed with it because I cant find any evidence of where it is coming in.

 

A/C drain behind center console is likely clogged/backed up, so condensate from the evaporator is entering cabin instead.
Remember if you are using the windshield defrost mode to keep fog from building on the inside of the windshield, you are probably also using the AC in that mode.

I'm guessing unclogging the drain will take care of both issues. The easiest way to locate the drain is to put down some shop towels, turn on the AC and watch behind the center console for the drip and for which shop towel gets wet first. Then just trace the water to its source
