Tire Light Reset

AURA's

According the to FSM, replacing the batteries in your transmittter is important to retain keyless entry as well as using the remotes to enter the TPMS learn mode.

1-With standard ignition switch, place the switch in the RUN position.
2- With electronic keyless ignition, place the switch in the ACCY position.
3-Simultaneously press the keyless entry transmitters lock and unlock buttons until a horn chirp sounds indicating the Learn Mode has been enabled.
4-Starting with the left front tire, learn the tire pressure.
5-Increase/decrease the tire pressure for 8-10 seconds then wait for a horn chirp. The horn chirp may occur before or up to 30 seconds after the 8-10 second pressure increase/decrease time period has been reached.
6-After the horn chirp has sounded, repeat step 3 for the remaining 3 sensors in the following order: Right front, Right rear, Left rear. After the LR sensor has been learned, a double horn chirp will sound indicating all sensors have been learned.
7-Turn OFF the ignition to exit the learn mode.
8-After the learn mode has been exited, adjust all tires to the recommended pressures.

Very nice write up.

Thanks for the procedure, was wondering how to do that. It's way over the head of the old man at the tire shop.

OK, I have a TPM that is reading 23psi, despite having 34 in there. Will this reset fix this problem, or will this TPM have to be replaced?

Can't hurt to try, but if it is the orig (09) I sense replacement + reset.
Let us know the outcome, please

I hope this is relevant to this thread. When I bought mine, the RF tire sensor showed -- for the air pressure, and triggered the warning light. I filled all the tires to 35psi while cold. (Tire's maximum.) The light went off. When I scrolled through the info on the message center, I got tire pressure from 31 to 38psi. All had 35 put in them measured with my hand held tire gauge. So can I assume the on-board tire sensors are not exactly precision? I would like to think my tire gauge wouldn't vary the badly.
