Suspension Parts.

I know there is a suspension section, but since very few active members own Auras, I figured this would be a better pace to post issues.
What brands have you had good luck using, with regards to suspension parts? I'm used to using and Moog, for a lot of things. I read quite a few bad reviews about Detroit Axle, so I'll stay clear of them. I was thinking about AC Delco OEM struts n shocks, to get as close to a factory ride as possible.
Suggestions

Always breaking the rules, you UP'ers. Close enough.

I dunno the the answer though.

So, this thread has 59 views, but nobody has personal experience replacing suspension parts. Must be a lot of rough riding cars out there

57 views are from search engines. The other two are you and I

Oh, OK. I thought 50+ mambos had read my thread and didn't offer up any advice. My apologies to my fellow members.

I don't know about on a Saturn, but I've had no complaints about using Moog suspension parts on any of my Mopars over the last 40 years or so. Matter of fact, I just replaced the LCA's on my PT Cruiser with Moogs that I got through Rock Auto.

if you're an OEM ride seeking guy, go w the AC Delcos-- damn expensive but will get you what you want. Different is not necessarily better.

KYB GR2's were pretty much the defacto standard replacement for S cars. Front was a bit more stiff than stock so a bit harsher of a ride but helped w handling a bit. You'd have to find the spring rates for the AC Delcos and KYBs to compare. If you do investigate to that level, I'll sticky the writeup for future reference.

Monroe mounting hardware has always sucked for S cars; don't know about other models, as your car is 12 years newer and maybe the Monroe mounting hardware design guy finally died (unsolved hit n run involving a 96 SC2 riding on KYB's).

I re did the whole front suspension minus the struts on mine. (They need to be replaced, just haven't gotten to them. I have used moog for my lower control arms, and a few other brands for other parts. Best place for best deals is Rockauto.com. You can choose different brands and budget range.

How did it come out ride wise? I know the struts are the finishing major touch but you're liking the outcome so far with Moog parts, yes?

The moog lowers are nice. Mine are the sealed, so I don't have to check grease zerks all the time.
