Shop Manual/Factory Service Manual

Can anyone recommend a good factory service manual for a 2007 Saturn Aura XE? The ones I have managed to find are solely lacking in details, especially when it comes to illustrations of parts/components (e.g., the back of the instrument cluster).

I'm using an AllData subscription that looks pretty much the same as the info from the link you supplied. I need to compare in more detail when I get a chance. I appreciate your taking the time to reply.

My issue is that the backlighting of the needles on the tachometer, speedometer, and other instrument cluster gauges is not working. The backlighting for the gauges themselves is working. I was hoping to find an illustration of the back of the IC prior to removing it.

Did you get your cluster fixed? If im understanding you, it's the needles themselves not lighting up right? Is it all of them and did it happen all at once? I'm not sure how adept you are at electronics repair, soldering etc, but with these clusters it's a common issue for the backlighting to fail. For me it was one of the individual LEDs for the temp and gas gauges dieing. So it might be the same for you as well. If you have a Digital MultiMeter you can test the LEDs to find the dead one/s. After that the actual repair can get tricky cause you need a hot air soldering station to remove and replace the LEDs. The replacement LED size you need is PLCC-4 3528 white. If you need anymore information try just searching for chevy gen7 cluster cause the Malibu's and G6's also have this cluster just different color lights.

Haven't looked into it any further yet - waiting for better weather to come. It's just the needles (all of them) that aren't lighting. I've worked on several other instrument clusters without issue, I was just hoping to see what the back of the cluster looks like before removing it. My biggest disappointment is that none of the service manuals that I have looked at so far have any pictures/sketches/illustrations of what I want to see. Most of the other FSM's that I have had in the past provided way more detail.

I appreciate your reply and will reach out if I have any more questions once I remove the cluster.

Heres the only photo I kept from fixing mine if it helps. If you need any closer up shots I can take some.

I'm presuming that this is the BACK of the cluster. And that I can easily find the components by coordinating with the location of the gauges/needles on the front.

I really appreciate your help.
